SET to shine overseas against the best in the world, Carley Mijovic will take to the court for the Australian Opals on its American tour.
Mijovic and the Australian Opals will take on four WNBA teams – the Seattle Storm, Minnesota Lynx, Atlanta Dream and San Antonio Silver Stars – as preparations for the World Championships later this year in Turkey step up another level.
Mijovic was called into the fold by Opals head coach Brendan Joyce to scope out different combinations and the mix between youth and experience ahead of the championships.
The Narre Warren rising star basketballer has had a month to remember after her selection in the 2014 WNBA Draft by the Washington Mystics.
Dandenong Rangers forward Alice Kunek has also been selected for the tour of the USA.
