Market’s winter feast

Caption: Beat off those winter chills at the farmers’ market.

THE winter weather has arrived and it is time to wrap up, brave the cold and make a trip to the Old Cheese Factory to stock up on provisions for winter feasts.
Customers visiting the market can select from a huge range of products to build hearty and sustaining snacks, soups, and family feasts.
Now is the time when we can prepare wonderful meals to comfort our family and protect them from winter ailments.
The market’s farmers are still producing an amazing array of fruit and vegetables of high quality at competitive prices.
Selected producers provide farm products that meet the highest standards of freshness. These products will last longer than those found in the big stores.
The key elements in your winter feasts can be selected from our regular suppliers of prime quality meats. Major meals can be built on top quality roasts of beef fillets or legs of lamb.
A wide selection of beef, lamb and pork cuts can be allied to a delicious entree of gourmet beef and honey, beef and pepper, and chorizo sausages.
To complete your feast collect your other food needs.
There is a huge range of cheese and chutneys, sauces and jams, herbs and mushrooms, breads and pasta; supported by oils and fresh juices, beer and wines.
Customers can be assured that stallholders strive to give fresh produce and outstanding customer service.
The market features foods to take home or enjoy in the park area. Enjoy hot pies and scones, dim sims and dumplings, or try cakes and biscuits. Customers can take brunch from the barbecue with a coffee, while the children enjoy the castle and playground.
Your family and friends will be delighted to share good food and company with a feast built on your skills and the outstanding produce from the farmers’ market.
Joe and Malcolm would like to extend their special thanks to all the stallholders and loyal customers and helpers over the last three years. Next month the Rotary Club of Berwick will have a new group managing the market.
Saturday, 28 June, 8am to 12.30pm.
