Dead reckoning

How pleased I was to read in the News that the council is taking action over illegal parking in disability parking areas.
I myself am now in my 80s and need the stability of a walker as I am awaiting a double hip replacement.
The disability parking area at Coles in West Cranbourne would have to carry the greatest amount of offenders and you never see an official of any kind taking any action.
Recently I was unable to park in the designated space but as I approached the centre this female came running out to her car, so I questioned her as to why she had a disability permit on her car when she looked as though she could win the Melbourne Cup.
Her response was “it’s for my mother” I responded, “but your mother’s not in the car”.
She replied to me “of course not she has been dead for four months, so get stuffed”.
