Pies power Country push

NARRE Warren’s impact on country football will reach new levels this Saturday when three of its biggest stars run out for the Victoria Country No.2 team against the Victorian Amateur Football Association at St Albans Reserve in Geelong.
The Magpies’ inspirational skipper, Michael Collins, will join the versatile Kain Baskaya and the man with the lethal-left-foot, Josh Tonna, in a 22-man team that will look to repeat its thrilling one-point win over the VAFA from last year.
Narre Warren, and Yarra Valley league club, Wandin, are the best represented in the team that also includes two more CCFL stars in Tooradin running-machine Matt Wade and Cranbourne’s human-blanket, Brandon Osborne.
The game will follow the EnergySafe AFL Victoria Country U19s v VAFA U19s (11am)
More than 40 players had the chance to try-out for the final Vic Country No.2 squad following the WorkSafe Country Championships in May.
