Smart time to celebrate

CELEBRATIONS for the high-achieving problem solving team from Fountain Gate Secondary College are showing no signs of stopping.
Youth Affairs Minister Ryan Smith last week visited the school to congratulate the students – Blerim, Paul, Rocky, Emily, Liza and Jessica – after they placed second out of 300 teams at this year’s World Championships in America.
“To miss out on first place by just a point is heartbreaking, but also great motivation to go back next year and show the world more brilliant young Victorian minds,” Mr Smith said.
“The celebrations aren’t over for Fountain Gate College, with its aerobics team recently winning the Victorian championships and heading to the Australian championships in Queensland next month.
“The school aerobics team has already achieved a wonderful result and now I wish them the best of luck at the national championships.”
