Students rock to the stars

MARAMBA Primary School replaced its students with rock and roll stars last week.
Such could be the impression of the audience which came to watch the Narre Warren school’s annual musical which was this year a production of Doo Wah Diddy, a rock and roll musical that was held at Cranbourne Community Theatre.
There were 175 students who took part in the musical, which was directed by performing arts teacher Chris Davies.
“The opening show went really well.
“There were only a few mistakes from the main cast and we were excited that the show finished on time,” Madi, one of the Performing Arts Captains, said.
“Wednesday’s show went OK and technically it was a great show.
The teachers were really organised when helping the cast in the green room.
Thursday’s show was the best show that we had performed.
“All three nights the classes were really efficient with costume changes and everything.
“It’s terrific to have the support of students, staff, parents, families and past students who all helped in this fantastic event.”
