Call to return pets

A LOCAL woman has urged people who find lost dogs to return them to their owners.
Kath Dobbs, who recently had a dog go missing, said it’s important that people hand them back.
“It’s theft,” she said.
“People pick them up but don’t give them back.”
The pet owner has lost dogs in the past but was lucky enough to be reunited with her precious pooches in the end.
Last week her Maltese cross Shitzu went missing and Ms Dobbs feared the worst.
“It’s happened to us twice now,” she said.
“It happens all the time.”
Luckily for this City of Casey resident her dog was handed back to her on both occasions.
“It’s a long wait, not knowing,” she said.
“It’s a terrible feeling if your dog goes missing.”
Ms Dobbs urged anyone who comes across a lost dog to track down the owner as fast as they can.
