PLANS are afoot to rebrand the Berwick Village Chamber of Commerce into the Casey Cardinia Chamber of Commerce following a disappointing turnout to its annual general meeting on Tuesday night last week.
Executive committee member Angela McPhee said the chamber had got off to a shaky start in the past financial year with then president Clinton Blanchard resigning early and many businesses in Berwick facing financial challenges.
Last year’s AGM attracted 38 attendees including Federal La Trobe MP Jason Wood and City of Casey deputy mayor Amanda Stapledon.
However, just nine people turned up to last week’s meeting.
“We are limping along,” Ms McPhee said.
