FIDDLERS Green Retirement Village celebrated its 30th anniversary with music, a bowls tournament, food and motorcycle rides.
More than 200 people, including the residents, staff, their families and friends celebrated the event in Berwick. They enjoyed an array of activities including a Devonshire tea, sausage sizzle, animal farm, a roving jazz band, a bowls club tournament, face painting and Harley Davidson rides.
Assistant Village manager Nicole Whiting said everyone raved about the event.
“It was such a great day,” she said.
“All the residents loved the Harley rides around the block, given by the manager Lauren Simpson’s husband Ash. They were all ticking it off their bucket lists.”
Anna Sabatino, who has been a resident at the home for 30 years, had the honour of cutting the birthday cake.
Also in attendance was the longest serving staff member Annette Berrand who has been working in administration for 30 years.
“I think we have so many long serving staff and residents because Fiddlers Green is a great place to live and work,” Mrs Whiting said.
“The staff really get involved with the residents.”
Mrs Whiting said staff and residents were looking forward to their annual fete, which would be held on 15 November and was opened to the public.
