Booked in for reading

LOCAL book worms read for resources last month when and turned pages to raise money for their school.
Devon Meadows Primary School raised $1786.10 in extra funding when students took part in the annual Read-a-Thon.
Students pounded the pavement to get donations from local residents in support of the cause.
Thanks to the funds raised, students have allowed the primary school to purchase extra resources.
School Read-a-Thon organiser Jessica McLean said she was extremely proud of the way the students rallied behind the fundraiser.
“It was great to see so many students supporting their school by collecting sponsorship and participating in this fantastic initiative,” she said.
The event is open to all schools to participate in.
