Burglary pair

By LACHLAN MOORHEAD

POLICE are on the hunt for a male and female pair they believe are allegedly responsible for at least four home burglaries in Casey over the last fortnight.
Roughly $50,000 worth of items have been stolen in total during the burglaries, which have all taken place in the Berwick and Devon Meadows areas in broad daylight.
It’s believed the female offender knocks on front doors to see if anyone’s home, before breaking in and stealing items from the house, particularly jewellery, while her male partner stays in a car and keeps a look out.
The car is thought to be a red or maroon Suzuki Swift.
Police believe the female offender has provided false excuses when questioned about her intentions by residents.
On one occasion, it’s understood the female offender broke into a property but soon fled when she was disturbed by a 14-year-old occupant.
The female is described as being aged in her 40s to 50s, is Caucasian and has blonde and grey hair.
