Bob revisits crime scene

IT WAS all business for the Rotary Club of Narre Warren last month.
The group held a special business dinner on Thursday 23 October, in which lawyer Bob Galbally spoke to the captive audience about his fascinating history working in criminal law.
Narre Warren Rotary president Lyn Pickering said Mr Galbally, a member of the well-known Galbally family, gave two speeches to the guests.
“This format was a change from other dinners of a similar nature,” she said.
“The idea worked very well, as evidenced by the number of questions asked after both sessions, and those who spoke to Bob following the dinner.
“Bob was a most welcome guest and speaker and the night was a success due to him and the hard working team who put the event together,” she said.
Mrs Pickering welcomed the guests for the evening, with 92 people attending the event.
Funds from the dinner were primarily given to the Narre Warren SES and the Narre Warren and Narre Warren North fire brigades.
“The volunteers at the three organisations are all within the Narre Warren area, and do a tremendous job in supporting people locally and further afield when required,” Ms Pickering said.
“The Rotary Club of Narre Warren is very pleased to be able to offer this further support.”
