Night attack in park

By BRIDGET SCOTT

A 16-YEAR-old boy was in an induced coma after an attack in Hampton Park on Sunday night.
Detectives were told that a group of teenage boys were hanging out at a park on Fordholm Road just before 11.30pm, when they were approached by a group of armed men on Sunday, 9 November. Police do not believe the two groups were known to each other.
It is believed the second group have chased and attacked the teenagers with one young boy sustaining a serious blow to the head. The men have then fled the scene towards Hallam Road.
Friends of the Endeavour Hills’ teen have then walked him to a nearby supermarket and attempted to treat his wounds, before emergency services have arrived. The boy was rushed to Monash Medical Centre shortly after.
Police wish to speak with any witnesses or anyone who has any information about the incident.
Anyone with information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or visit www.crimestoppersvic.com.au.
