CARDINIA BEACONHILLS GOLF

THE RACV Auto Club Golf Challenge was played at Cardinia Beaconhills on Saturday with Wayne Hassall (11) and David Brook (14) winning the 4BBB aggregate stableford event and securing themselves a trip to Queensland to play in the national final at the RACV Royal Pines Resort on the Gold Coast. The daily comp winners were Michael Nealon (9) and Geoff Styles (16) with 81 points on a count-back.
David Coates (4) was the A-Grade winner of Sunday’s stableford event with 41 points while Mark Dowler (16) won the B Grade with an impressive 44 points.
MIDWEEK
THE Lex Hoogenboom Trophy was played on Melbourne Cup Day with Stewart Allen (4) winning the trophy with 42 points, along with Denise Toon (33) with 35 points.
In Thursday’s stableford event 87 players competed but it was Graeme Inglefinger (13) that took the A Grade win with 41 points on a count-back. Robert Darlison (22) returned the best score in the B Grade with an impressive 43 points.
LADIES
IN WEDNESDAY’S stroke competition Sharon Lowden (29) return the best score with 66 nett. Marilyn Ford and Michelle Ahern tied in the Medal of Medallists with 72 nett.
