AFTER many letters, meetings and broken promises over the many years I have lived in Tooradin we still don’t have natural gas, no cable internet, no sealed roads behind the South Gippsland Highway, and no street lights.
But what we do have are deep open stinking drains, major potholes that cause damage to our cars, and an eyesore of a hotel for the kids to play in. There are large shards of glass just waiting to fall down. I often wonder what my rates pay for?
Wait, I know, I get the flags in the main street changed every month and nice areas for tourists to sit.
We deserve better, we deserve that the residents see improvement to the town other than what public see on the highway.
All I want for Christmas is for local children to live through the Christmas break without serious injury by Tooradin Hotel – a disgraceful sight.
