IT could have been on any ground, anywhere in Australia on Saturday as a nation mourned for Phillip Hughes, the prodigiously talented 25-year-old left hander who passed away last Thursday with the world seemingly at his feet. Haileybury College in Berwick was the canvas for this tribute, with Emerald and Pakenham players joining in a minute’s silence as cricketers from all over the country put out their bats…and laid bare their hearts…for a tragedy that has touched us all.
