A NARRE Warren man is among eight people charged after early morning drug raids across Narre Warren North, Dandenong and elsewhere yesterday.
A 48-year-old Narre Warren North man was charged with dealing with the proceeds of crime and bailed to reappear in the Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on 24 February.
The Joint Organised Crime Taskforce (JOCTF), led by the Australian Federal Police and Victoria Police, conducted raids across Melbourne following an investigation into the sophisticated drug ring.
Police seized more than $6 million worth of drugs and believe they’ve broke up an international multi-million dollar drug trafficking syndicate.
Police executed 15 warrants at residential and business addresses in Wollert, Roxburgh Park, Epping, Bundoora, Essendon, Docklands, Campbellfield, Hadfield, Glenroy, Fitzroy, Meadow Heights, Narre Warren North, Dandenong and Brunswick.
Eight men were arrested and charged while two others were released pending summons.
