AUSTRALIA Day was in full swing at Hampton Park this week.
The community flocked from all directions to visit Arthur Wren Hall where the Hampton Park Progress Association held a special Day of Nations event.
The free event ran from 9am to noon and included a special Aussie breakfast for guests, multicultural entertainment, face painting, jumping castles, an animal farm and community group displays.
The Day of Nations ambassador was Dr Nouria Salehi, a highly respected nuclear physicist and biophysicist, who was born in Afghanistan.
Dr Salehi finished her post-graduate studies in France before moving to Australia in 1981, where for 30 years she has combined her career with volunteering in both Afghanistan and Australia.
News photographer Rob Carew dropped by the Day of Nations event to capture all the action.
