Big step for little ones

WITH backpacks bigger than their bodies and shoelaces tied tight, this past week was a big step for many young ones throughout the City of Casey. It was also a memorable week for many mums and dads, as hundreds of children set off on their first day of primary school.
News photographer Donna Oates was there to capture the memorable moments at many of the schools, including Coral Park Primary in Hampton Park.
Coral Park was one of the first cabs off the rank and welcomed their new and excited pupils on Thursday 29 January. The boys and girls got to know their new classmates and most importantly, inspected the new playground.
