MORE than 200 cars were alleged to have been involved in street racing on Thursday 29 January.
The hooning occurred around Narre Warren, Carrum Downs, Dandenong and Hallam.
Police believe people involved had blocked streets and said it involved a huge number of spectators.
Police said no arrests were made, however single people were picked off by Traffic Management Unit police. Police issued defect notices to infringing drivers.
