A PASSIONATE counsellor and healer who worked for many years in Berwick is returning to the suburb this month to hold a special community event.
Author Jen Irishu will hold a Heart Light Gathering for Earth Angels at the Berwick Leisure Centre this week, where she will run guests through a whole day of meditation, healing and sharing.
“You will be with spiritual people who understand you. They will not judge you. You will be accepted for who you are,” Ms Irishu said of this month’s event.
“You will be empowered and enlightened… you will leave the gathering feeling stronger and determined to continue as a warrior of light and love.”
Jen, who began her career as a medical receptionist, has now dedicated her life to helping others who come up against life’s many struggles. Through her books Messages of Love, The Angel in my Dreams and The New Adventures of Angela and Eli, Jen has helped others rebuild their life in the same way she has.
“As I approached my forties, after a broken marriage, my psychic abilities began to escalate,” Ms Irishu said
“Fortunately for me I landed a position working in a Medical Clinic as a receptionist, where all of the girls who also worked there were spiritually gifted in many areas, such as Reiki, massage, meditation and yoga.
“I had come home. All of those questions that I had been searching for were in one or another of their book shelves. I became a sponge.
“So began my Spiritual journey.”
Ms Irishu then delved into the world of Tarot readings before picking up her own healing technique.
“No one is more surprised than I am about writing books… books to heal and grow from,” she said.
“When I sit on my computer for hour after hour, pouring out my heart and thoughts, praying that I may touch just one single life and heart with my often very difficult and challenging journey.
“I feel blessed to have been given my life’s lessons so I can show you; you are not alone in yours.”
The event, which costs $100, will be held on Sunday 22 February at the Berwick Leisure Centre, 79 Manuka Road in Berwick. It will run from 9.30am to 4.30pm with morning and afternoon tea provided.
