Staying connected

NAZARETH College is focused on providing students with a rich educational experience which delivers excellence in personalised learning.
To cater for the specific learning needs of boys and of girls, Nazareth provides single gender classes in Years 7 and 9 (and in Year 8 from 2016) in selected subjects, including English, maths, science and physical education.
Mixed gender classes in other subjects ensure students also experience all the social and personal benefits of co-education.
Nazareth’s 1:1 Learning Technologies program incorporates a Bring Your Own Digital Device (BYOD) program and desktop learning technologies.
It also includes using iPads as a key learning tool in Years 7 to 9 within Nazareth’s wireless ‘always connected’ environment.
The Laurel Program provides targeted acceleration in maths and science for students with higher ability, as well as extension in English and humanities, helping high-achieving students achieve their full potential.
In the senior years, Nazareth provides an excellent range of pathways, catering for a wide range of individual needs.
This includes an excellent and broad VCE program, as well as pathways in applied learning including PreCAL (Year 10) and VCAL (Years 11 and 12).
To encourage excellence in learning, Nazareth College offers both academic and music scholarships to students in Years 7, 9 and 10, and in VCE.
The focus on personalised learning means that Nazareth College provides its students with an experience of Catholic co-education at its best.
