FIVE offenders who assaulted a man at a Cranbourne McDonald’s and stole his car on the weekend are believed to have links to bikie gangs.
The 20-year-old victim was leaving the fast food store on the South Gippsland Highway around 2.30am on Saturday (14 March) when he was confronted by the five men in the car park.
One of the offenders asked the victim if he wanted to buy some ice or cannabis and when he refused, it’s understood the offender head-butted the victim three times and demanded his car keys.
The offenders then made off with the victim’s car, which was later found.
A 24-year-old and 25-year-old were arrested in relation to the incident and clothing adorned with bikie colours has been seized.
Police are currently investigating whether the offenders are affiliated with a bikie gang.
It’s also believed the offender who head-butted the victim was using crutches and wearing a moonboot at the time of the attack.
The victim was taken to Casey Hospital with minor injuries to his cheek.
Anyone with any information on the other offenders is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or submit a confidential crime report at www.crimestoppersvic.com.au.
