POLICE made two arrests in Cranbourne North on Saturday night when they managed to kill two birds with one stone.
Police were called to a property along Alamanda Way around 1.10am when a switched on neighbour noticed someone enter a nearby house, knowing that the residents of the home were away.
Police attended and arrested a 39-year-old Mulgrave man as he left the house. As police investigated the scene, they noticed bright lights coming from a neighbouring property.
Upon further investigation they uncovered a number of cannibas plants and as a result, a 44-year-old Cranbourne North man was arrested for cannabis cultivation.
The Mulgrave man was charged with burglary and the Cranbourne North man was charged with cultivate.
They are both scheduled to appear at the Dandenong Magistrates’ Court.
