Masters of the greens

A total of 152 players competed in Saturday’s stableford competition on Saturday at Cardinia Beaconhills which saw Michael French (9) win the A Grade with 39 points on a count back.
Russell Dixon (15) was the B Grade winner with 44 points and Michael Utting (22) took out the C Grade with an impressive 45 points.
The 2015 Virtual Masters Two Ball Aggregate event was also held on Saturday, where players paired up virtually with a player competing at this year’s U.S. Masters event.
It was a tight contest with the top four returning 81 points.
Congratulations to Russell Dixon who scored 44 points with virtual partner PGA Pro (contested in the Masters over the weekend) Russell Henley who scored 37, making them the winning team with 81 points on a count back.
Second place went to Stephen Bailey with 42 points, pairing up with PGA Pro Dustin Johnson who returned 39 points, and third place went to Craig Holland with 42 and his virtual partner PGA Pro Ryan Moore with 39 points.
Playing off a handicap of 19, Bob Priestley returned the best score in Sunday’s Stableford competition with 43 points to runner up Gary Jollands (7) with 42 points on a count back.

Midweek
Nathan Hamilton (21) was the winner of the Easter Monday Stableford competition with 42 points.
Tuesday’s Stableford event saw Philip Read (13) win the A Grade with 40 points and Matthew Vancam (28) was the B Grade winner with 38 points.
As many as 86 players took to the field for Thursday’s Stableford competition, Leong Tang (8) was the A Grade winner with 39 points on a count back.
Brian Taylor (25) won the B Grade with 39 points.

Women’s Results
The first round of the Foursomes Championships were played on Wednesday with Libby Michell and Lee James returning the best score with 72.5.
Michelle Desaulniers (33) was the winner of the daily Stableford event with 34 points.
Women’s Social Golf Clinics are back again at Cardinia Beaconhills, commencing on Sunday 19 April.
The hour long clinics are run each Sunday afternoon from 3pm to 4pm and are hosted by the resident PGA professional.
The five-week program costs $75.
