Cavs axe coach

By JARROD POTTER

CASEY Cavaliers are on the hunt for a new Big V women’s team coach after the Casey Basketball Association severed ties with Tim Parker.
Citing a breakdown in the working relationship between the coach and club, Casey Basketball Association sacked the coach after one-year, despite signing him to a two-year deal late in 2014.
In a statement from the club, Casey Basketball Association confirmed: “This decision was extremely difficult, given that we are partly through the season, however, after considering all the facts, it was felt in the best interests of the Association that the decision be made now rather than later”.
Parker coached the Cavaliers for 2014 and the first five games of 2015, after taking over the reins of the BIG V team from Mark Holman.
Casey Cavaliers assistant coach Tim Hewitt will coach the side in its match on Sunday against Mornington from 1pm.
More to come.
