A POLICE officer was rushed to hospital with a head injury after he was allegedly assaulted by a Narre Warren teenager in the early hours of Sunday morning.
The 15-year-old was charged with assaulting the officer and resisting arrest after police were called to a Kurrajong Road home about 1.30am to respond to a confrontation between paramedics and two patients.
It’s alleged the teenager became aggressive with the officers and attacked one of them.
The injured officer, in his twenties, was taken to Dandenong Hospital with a head injury just before 2am and was listed in a serious but stable condition.
The teenager was bailed to face a children’s court at a later date.
