Wheel bandits leave car dealers flat

POLICE investigating a spate of wheel rim thefts across Casey suspect the items are being sold on the black market.
In just over a week, three local car dealerships have been raided for tyre rims, while many other cars parked in residential Casey streets have also been stripped.
All of the thefts resulted in the cars being jacked up and left on bricks while their rims were stolen.
Berwick Mazda, Cranbourne Hyundai and Cranbourne Toyota were all raided for tyre rims on 7, 8 and 11 May respectively.
Meanwhile different cars parked in Bluegum Way in Hampton Park, Truslove Court in Endeavour Hills, and Andre Court and Zeus Avenue in Cranbourne West all had their rims stolen.
All four tyre rims had been stripped from each of the cars.
