Beautiful story

What a lovely story (Face Of Courage, News, 14 May) on Wesley, the young man who has had so many operations to repair his face.
It brought back many memories of September 1995 when my own child was in hospital to have surgery.
My daughter, Cindy, and Wesley were in the same room, their beds side by side and although there was a bit of a language barrier we could understand what Wesley wanted.
He was a keen card player and we had many games and laughs with him.
It was so lovely to see the story on 60 Minutes and in the Cranbourne News, and what an amazing doctor Malcolm Linsell is.
How lucky we are to have him living and working here and how wonderful to see how Wesley has grown into a beautiful man, inside and out.
We were happy to see that he still has that cheekiness about him.
Lorraine Dolan,
Cannons Creek.
