Master medal winners

MASTERS on and off the track, there’s no stopping the run of success at Casey Masters Athletics Club.
The club filled the cupboards with medals at the Victorian Masters Athletics Championships in March and backed it up with National Masters Athletics Championships glory at the Easter event in Sydney.
Paul Olsson stormed home to win gold in triple jump and bronze in hammer throw and weight throw at the national championships.
At the Victorian championships, Olsson (gold in hammer and weight throw, silver in discus and bronze in shot put and javelin) and Rob Italia (silver in triple jump and 60m, bronze in long jump, 400m and 200m) earned the right to stand on the podium.
Mike Hall also competed at both events and excelled in the national area.
Casey Masters athletics is open to anyone over 30 years old who wants to keep up their fitness or just wants a friendly run-around with a few mates.
The club meets every Monday night at Casey Fields Athletics Track, Cranbourne, from 7pm.
For further information about the club, contact Mike Hall on 5996 6110 or Paul Olsson on 0408 340 151.
