Stolen ute still missing

A MAN has been arrested after a ute was stolen in Cranbourne, involved in a police chase, and used in a number of burglaries and car thefts throughout Casey.
But police are still searching for the stolen ute and have appealed to the community for help.
The 2013 white Toyota Hilux, fitted with an aftermarket canopy, was taken from outside the Cranbourne property between 12.30pm on Wednesday 13 May and 12.45pm on Friday 15 May.
Investigators believe the van was used to commit multiple burglaries and thefts from cars in Narre Warren, Cranbourne and Berwick.
The ute was also involved in a police pursuit on Friday 22 May.
The man arrested is currently on remand and is set to appear at the Dandenong Magistrates’ Court later this month.
Police have released an image of the ute in the hope the public can help track it down.
Anyone with information is urged to call Casey CIU on 9705 3170.
