SINCE it opened its doors almost a year ago, Vetro Cafe in Narre Warren has been slowly but surely filling a niche.
The cafe has a breakfast all-day menu, offers a la carte lunch, is fully licensed and available for private functions and catering.
“We are modern and have a large decked alfresco area with stainless steel tables as well as a couch setting,” Greg Buttigieg said.
He said it was staff’s attention to detail and quality that sets the cafe apart.
They offer a large array of fresh food, hot chocolates made with Lindt, Zest coffee, a full a la carte menu and cater for customers who are gluten free.
“We focus on fresh quality food in a friendly and relaxed environment,” he said.
“We opened on 25 June 2014 and our venue is available for function hire on Thursday and Friday nights and Saturday and Sunday for a day or night function.
“Family is important to us – my wife Lisa does the books for the cafe and looks after our two-year-old son and three-and-a-half-year-old daughter.”
Greg has been a qualified chef for the past 15 years and was previously head chef at a fine dining restaurant.
He is joined by some great staff including Kailla, Davy and Yvette who handle the front of house and bring years of experience – and make great coffee according to Greg.
And don’t forget they will be holding a special High Tea Fundraiser on Sunday 28 June to raise money for the Monash Children’s Hospital. Bookings are required.
Find Vetro at 58-60 Victor Crescent, Narre Warren.
It is open Monday to Friday from 7.30am to 4pm and Saturday and Sunday for private function hire.
