Haul of stolen power tools

TWO CRANBOURNE residents have been arrested and charged after a search warrant found over $100,000 in power tools stolen from around the Mooroolbark area.
A 25-year-old Cranbourne woman and a 34-year-old Cranbourne man were arrested on 29 May, after police executed a search warrant three days prior, in relation to a number of power tool thefts.
Lilydale Crime Investigation Unit (CIU) Detective Sergeant Mark Smithwick said that over $100,000 worth of stolen property had been located, which had been stolen from building sites, as well as masses of copper wire.
The thefts relate to burglaries in the Mooroolbark area, and the pair were charged with burglary and theft, and bailed to front the Ringwood Magistrates’ Court on 6 October.
