Cavaliers cool the Heat

By JARROD POTTER

THE regional express was up and about as Casey Cavaliers stole the country thunder from Mildura.
Flying up to Mildura for a Saturday night raid of the BIG V points, Casey Cavaliers made it two-from-two as the senior and youth men both excelled against the Heat.
It was all over bar the final margin by half time as the Cavaliers hit 34 points in the second term including five three-pointers.
Dousing the Heat in Cavalier fashion were Casey tall tandem Brent Hobba (23 points), Lester Strong (10 points, 13 rebounds) and point guard Ben Louis (13 points).
Maintaining their top billing in the BIG V Watson Conference, the Casey men travel to the State Basketball Centre on Saturday night to face Blackburn.
The Youth Men smashed Mildura 84-66 on the back of strong shooting from Alistair Parker (18 points) and Josh Lemi (13 points) and travel to Mornington on Saturday in a battle of the top-ranked sides.
Casey women were rolled 50-56 on their own regional tour, downed by North East on Saturday night. The Cavaliers women host Coburg on Saturday evening from 7.30pm
