A 14-YEAR-OLD has been slapped and had his phone stolen as he was walking through Narre Warren North in broad daylight.
The victim was walking along Ernst Wanke Road around 3pm on Saturday 13 June when a car pulled up next to him and two men got out.
They forcibly stole the victim’s mobile phone and slapped him before returning to the car and driving off.
The offenders soon did a U-turn and came back to steal the teenager’s backpack and also demanded the passcode to his phone.
It’s understood similar robberies had occurred in Clayton recently and a police spokesperson said the incidents could be linked.
Anyone with information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or submit a confidential report at www.crimestoppersvic.com.au.
