FOUR teenagers who stole an assortment of running shoes from a Berwick garage were later apprehended at the train station by on-duty PSOs.
The boys allegedly stole the shoes from the Howard Close property around 11pm on Friday 12 June but were soon arrested by PSOs at Berwick train station after police put a call out with description of the alleged offenders.
A couple and their child were home at the time when the thieves broke in.
They heard strange noises and disturbed the thieves, who fled the property.
The four alleged offenders – one from Dandenong North, one from Noble Park and two from Pakenham – were charged and released on bail.
