Theatre of the absurd

Unprecedented community approval for the Bunjil Place, 82 per cent of ratepayers consider the $125 million arts centre a “good idea“ (Community Impressed By Bunjil, News 18 June)!
What a laugh! Who conducted this survey and when?
What percentage of ratepayers were actually interviewed?
Casey needs jobs. The unemployment rate is sky rocketing, yet the council spends $125 million on art.
Ice and domestic violence are endemic in our society today yet much less is spent to fight them.
And why doesn’t the council call it for what it truly is: “$125 million new council offices“.
