THE article ‘Syringe Find Shock’ (Cranbourne News, 25 June) just proves the point I made in a letter to the editor just last week. The drug problem is unprecedented. It’s spreading at an alarming rate. Statistics for the 2014-’15 period from the City of Casey reveal the council will dispose of more than 400 extra sharp containers compared to the 2013-’14 statistics.
Break-ins are at an all-time high, crime is increasing, yet the City of Casey councilors agree to spend $125 million on new council offices, disguised as an ‘arts centre’. Shame on all of you, councillors! Good to know you’ve got your priorities right!
