FIVE teenagers from Dandenong and Casey have been arrested after a number of high-end cars were stolen and used in a dramatic crime spree throughout the suburbs in the past week.
Starting on 5 July, a 2015 Mercedez Benz C200, a 2011 Audi Q5, a 2010 Audi A3, a 2015 Subaru Liberty and a Hyundai Santa Fe were stolen during car-jackings and thefts.
The cars were then used in a series of attacks, robberies and house burglaries.
During one incident a victim was confronted in the Dandenong Plaza car park during which his attackers demanded that he hand over the keys to his Holden Commodore.
When the victim refused, the offenders smashed his car with a stick and ran off.
Another ugly attack saw a 14-year-old robbed of personal items in Dunblane Road, Noble Park.
Some of the cars were stolen from homes after the thieves broke into properties and took the car keys.
Suburbs including Mulgrave, Prahran, and Malvern were all hit, while the Mercedez was stolen from a Hallam property.
The investigation is continuing.
Five teens aged between 16 and 17 were arrested in the early hours of yesterday (Thursday) morning.
Two have been remanded in custody and the others have been charged and bailed.
