PLAYERS experienced a beautiful winter’s weekend at the club with 112 players turning up for Saturday’s members stableford daily competition.
Joe Marsiglio (4) managed a win in the A Grade with 36 points on a count-back, while Peter Walker (12) took out the B Grade also with 36 points. Craig Holland returned the best score on the day with 39 points, to win the C Grade.
Rob Kelly and John Barker took out the 2015 John Barker Winter Cup, narrowly defeating Wayne Davey and Joe Karac 2-up on Saturday.
Sunday’s stableford competition had 55 players playing in sunny but very cold conditions with Brad Vigilante (10) returning an impressive score of 40 points on a count-back. Chris Radings (19) was runner up.
MIDWEEK
Peter Wilson (19) braced against cold, wet conditions on Tuesday, along with 20 other members, to take out the members stableford daily competition with 36 points.
Peter continued his winning streak on Thursday, this time with 41 points, taking out the Thursday members stableford competition. Chris Radings (19) was – once more… never the bride – runner-up with 40 points.
LADIES
WEDNESDAY’S members stableford daily competition winner was Judy Butler (28) with 28 points.
In the Women’s Winter Cup, Bev Eckhardt and Deb Williams defeated Marilyn Ford and Lee James 2/1 whilst Ros Harding and Tracey Brown defeated Greta de Hoogd and Liz Wong 2/1.
Winners will face off in the final round next week.
