THE Narre Warren Victoria State Emergency Service (VICSES) unit has received new equipment.
AAMI’s equipment handover program has been running since 2002 and provides VICSES units with new equipment every year.
The unit received a chainsaw, pole saw storage box and flares for traffic management.
Narre Warren unit members Josh Wright and Rachael Davies collected their unit’s gear.
Josh has been with VICSES for over three years and also volunteers with the CFA.
VICSES volunteers work to educate and prepare their communities to tackle hazards and perform accredited training year-round to keep their skills sharp.
AAMI has contributed more than $5 million to VICSES, providing the equipment to volunteers and supporting community awareness campaigns such as StormSafe Week.
The volunteers within the Central Region of VICSES attended the Mulgrave Regional Headquarters on Monday 27 July to receive the equipment as part of the ongoing partnership with AAMI.
