News is a shock

THE City of Casey – City News has arrived. Pages 4 and 5 detail The City of Casey Budget, 2015-’16. “What $100 of Rates Buys You In Casey”. I encourage people (the ratepayers) to have a detailed look at page 5 and see how you being ripped off.
Again the Mayor, Cr Mick Morland has meekly accepted what his council staff have told him, yet another shot to his other foot after Bunjil. By the way, another reader is quite correct, $25.5 million has been slipped into the Budget for 2015-’16. Also, if readers have a look at the 2015-’16 budget, they will find the wages bill for the City of Casey is projected to be more than $93 million – this is for 1019.9 employees at $91,465 per employee. Really? Who is really getting the money?
Arvo Talvik,
Cranbourne.
