OFF the back of Dental Health Week – which is celebrated from 3 to 10 August – NovaDental Hampton Park will be talking to 88 eager kids at St Kevin’s School about all things teeth.
The team at the clinic hopes this session, on Wednesday 12 August, will act as the first of many visits to local schools and kindergartens.
Over the years, NovaDental Hampton Park has earned its place as a local family dentist for people and prides itself on preventative care.
“The team loves going into schools and educating them in ways that will help them to keep their teeth for life,” oral health therapist Rebecca Battaglin said.
Battaglin went on to explain how she, along with one of the clinic’s dental assistants, will talk about a range of factors relating to teeth and all with a touch of fun, too.
“It’s all a little bit of fun and we save the biggest surprise right until the end: the arrival of Dr Rabbit.”
The oral health therapist went onto explain how vital it was for children to know why we have teeth, why we need to keep them healthy, how to brush teeth properly, the role diet plays in oral health and how often they should visit the dentist.
“The habits we teach our kids will be with them for life and by educating children from a young age, we’re giving them the best possible chance to keep their real teeth throughout their lifetime.”
Dental goodie bags will also be distributed to every child.
