THREE CFA trucks attended a burning taxi on High Street, Berwick, on Friday morning 4 September – with an oil spill closing the inbound lane.
About 6.20am on Friday, the Hallam and Berwick CFA were called to the burning taxi and had the fire under control within 10 minutes.
The Melbourne-bound lane of High Street was closed from 6.30am due to the oil spill, measuring one metre wide by 10 metres long.
Police were on the scene and VicRoads arrived after 8am.
