Businesses picked by popular choice

THE people of Casey and Cardinia have spoken.
Dandy Mart Hampton Park, SJD Homes in Officer and Village Way Cafe in Pakenham are the finalists in the inaugural Casey Cardinia Business Awards People’s Choice Award.
The City of Casey and Cardinia Shire Council asked the community to nominate and vote for businesses in the region that impressed or inspired them.
Casey Mayor Mick Morland said the councils received a great response to the new award.
“There were 52 businesses from across the region nominated for the award, with the public then asked to vote for their favourite business from the nominees on the region’s website,” he said.
Cr Morland congratulated the finalists.
“You’ve obviously left a lasting impression on your customers and clients,” he said.
Cardinia Mayor Leticia Wilmot said the new category had been a wonderful way for the community to shine a light on the local businesses that had impressed them and provided superb customer service.
The winner of the People’s Choice Award and 12 other Casey Cardinia Business Awards categories will be announced at a gala awards dinner on Thursday 22 October at Cranbourne Racing Centre.
