Land auction gets results

By GEORGIA WESTGARTH

THE Kimberley Downs Estate in Narre Warren South has sold out.
The last part of the subdivision and selling process was finalised at auction on Saturday 17 October.
Part owner, developer and selling agent in the family business, Monique Davis, said her family was “very pleased” with the turn out and result on the day.
“After subdividing and selling my family estate for the past 10 years, auction day was so rewarding for me to see the smiles and tears of joy on the families’ faces who bought land,” Ms Davis said.
Comparing auction day to that of a ‘grand finale’ for the estate, Ms Davis said 24 of the 26 large blocks sold.
“We have no regrets, we’ve done everything we can to make an estate we can be proud of and giving families large blocks ranging from 600 square metres to 1200 square metres was our one desire,” she said.
With around 300 people attending the estate’s only auction, the remaining two blocks will be kept by the vendor.
“We had 70 registered bidders on the day and I was happy to sell as many as we could and 24 was a great result,” she said.
“We went out with a bang.”
Dotted with more than 300 houses, the 110-acre estate includes a lake, parklands and a playground.
The north-facing homes looking over the parklands sold for the highest price.
