Spotlight’s on light-fingered thieves

By LACHLAN MOORHEAD

POLICE are on the hunt for two thieves who stole 23 rolls of electrical cable and a bunch of down lights from a Narre Warren store this week.
The two men pulled up outside the wholesale electrical business in Victor Crescent about 2.50am on Wednesday 11 November in a distinctive black Holden ute, with a rear cover.
They then got out of the car and jemmied open the store’s side door, before getting inside and stealing 23 rolls of white Olex-brand electrical cable and a large number of down lights.
Police have released CCTV images from the incident, in the hope someone can identify the thieves.
Anyone with information is urged to please contact Detective Sergeant Geoff Rumble at Casey Crime Investigation Unit on 9705 3114, or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
