Sizzle into mental health

A COMMUNITY barbecue in Casey, which aims to raise more awareness around mental health, is again taking place next month.
Monash Health is working day and night to address the negative stigma that can be attached to mental health illnesses.
That is why it is holding another community Christmas barbecue, this time in Cranbourne.
The employees who work in this space understand how important it is to remind people living in the City of Casey that they are not alone when it comes to mental illness and that there is always a shoulder to lean on.
Cranbourne Community Mental Health community worker Heather Mikronis is again helping to organise the event.
The barbecue will take place on Thursday 10 December from noon to 3pm at the Cranbourne Botanical Gardens.
