NARRE Warren police are appealing for witnesses after a fire was lit at the Narre Warren tip this month.
The fire was swiftly put out by CFA about 4pm on Sunday 7 February.
But Detective Sergeant Stuart Freeman holds concerns for the vulnerable location on Quarry Road where the fire was started.
“Someone who lights small fires can move on to light bigger ones,” he said.
The fire was doused without significant damage to the area.
