Burglar not so sorry

A BURGLAR has apologised but still made off with stolen items after occupants found him inside a Hallam house.
The intruder broke into the Charles Avenue house through an unlocked door sometime between 9am and 11.35am when the occupants came home and found him hiding in a room.
The thief said “sorry” and fled the house through a rear door with cash, jewellery and electrical items taken from the house.
He jumped over a back fence and ran away.
Anyone with information is urged to contact Detective Constable Spinks on 9705 3111, or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
